Buy, distribute, shop!

Bet Torah is one of the "Sponsoring Congregations" that supports the Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry

Through Bet Torah, you are encouraged to help The Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry in the following ways:

BUY!

Each congregation, as part of the Interfaith Food Pantry, is responsible for a one-month food drive each year. Bet Torah’s assigned month is September. However, food is accepted in the Bet Torah Mitzvah bins year-round.

Items always needed are:

  • Spaghetti
  • Dry cereal
  • Coffee
  • Canned goods
  • Kid’s lunch snacks
  • Shelf Stable Milk (i.e. Parmalat)

Please check expiration dates as expired food cannot be accepted by the Food Pantry.

DISTRIBUTE!

Every 6 weeks, we need volunteers to come distribute food to families at the United Methodist Church in Mount Kisco. We volunteer at the pantry on designated Tuesday  from 5:30 - 7PM and Wednesday mornings from 9:30 - 11AM.

Volunteers are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the pantry opens to prepare. Older children and teens encouraged to participate.

SHOP!

If you are unable to distribute food with us, you can still help periodically by shopping to replace food for the Pantry. Contact us to learn more.

Any amount of help is welcome and this is a mitzvah you’ll want to get involved in.
